Lewis, of Hazelwood Lane, Abbots Langley, had been arrested on August 25 last year and charged with possession of a bladed article, robbery, two counts of common assault, criminal damage, and possession of an imitation firearm at the time.
Six days earlier, it had been reported that a man in his 20s had left the SPAR in School Mead, Abbots Langley, before being assaulted and having his phone and cash stolen in the nearby Gable Close. It was also claimed that his trousers were slashed with a sharp implement.
However, he was not injured until, after reaching Long Elms, a woman came to his aid in a vehicle and the clash continued — according to the reports shared by Herts Police.
The vehicle was damaged, the victim suffered bruising, and the woman was also assaulted and suffered cuts and bruises to her face.
Then, on August 25, police searched an address in Hazelwood Lane and recovered an imitation handgun.
All parties involved were believed to have known each other.
